The librarians can show you how to use library materials and help you find information relevant to your legal research. Librarians are not attorneys and therefore cannot provide legal advice. If you need someone who will research and interpret the law for you, please consider consulting an attorney.
We can:
- Suggest books, databases, and websites relevant to your research.
- Show you how to use legal databases and other library resources.
- Tell you whether we have particular books, journals, or other materials in the library.
- Help you find resources in the library.
We cannot:
- Tell you what to do in your case.
- Interpret laws or cases for you.
- Conduct research or type documents for you.
- Advise or assist in the selection, preparation, or drafting of legal forms, documents, or other writings.
